The portable Beltrac 3000 retractable belt stanchion is designed for high-traffic environments where queue management must also prioritize safety, security, branding, and merchandising. Made from a single-piece continuous aluminum extrusion with a heavy, cast-iron or steel base and protective cover plate, it offers top-tier stability, rubberized feet to protect flooring, and safety features such as its 10-foot or 15-foot retractable belt with a viscous-damping, slow-retract mechanism.

What makes the Beltrac 3000 unique is its patented 4-way dovetail grooves that seamlessly accept NeXtrac checkout queue merchandising fixtures, Post & Panel barrier walls, Rigid Rail barriers, overhead signage, and swing gates without the need for adapters or separate posts. An optional galvanized sloped base for outdoor use and an ADA-compliant retractable double-belt stanchion increase deployment options.

Can the Beltrac 3000 portable stanchion be used outdoors?

Yes. The Portable Beltrac 3000 with the galvanized 14" sloped base option is weather-resistant and suitable for outdoor applications. The galvanized base is exclusively available with the sloped base type. For fully outdoor, all-weather environments with high UV exposure, salt spray, or extreme temperatures, Lavi also offers the Tempest outdoor stanchion with an HDPE plastic post and recycled rubber base.

Is the Beltrac 3000 available with an ADA-compliant double-belt configuration?

Yes. The Beltrac 3000 Portable stanchion supports an optional ADA double-belt configuration with a second retractable belt positioned at 22 inches from the floor (sloped and designer base) or 21.5 inches (slim base). The lower belt is cane-detectable, meeting ADA guidelines for barrier detection by visually impaired individuals. Both 10-foot and 15-foot belt lengths are available in the ADA configuration.

How is the belt mechanism replaced on a Beltrac 3000 stanchion?

The Beltrac 3000 uses a field-replaceable belt cassette mechanism — the entire cassette unit is swapped as a single assembly, not the belt ribbon alone. Replacement requires a standard screwdriver and can be performed on-site without returning the stanchion to the manufacturer. The belt cassette is covered under the 3-year belt and mechanism warranty.

How fast does the Portable Beltrac 3000 ship?

All our stanchions are built to order. Basic configurations (certain finishes and standard belts) ship within 3 to 5 business days. Other configurations (designer finishes and custom-printed belts) can take up to 18 business days and may include a setup fee. The build time is noted near the top of the page for each selected finish/belt option. Contact Lavi directly for lead times on large-quantity or multi-facility orders.

Can I add merchandising to my existing stanchions?

Yes, if your queue uses Beltrac 3000 stanchions or partition posts. The patented dovetail grooves accept NeXtrac slatwall panels, wire grids, and integrated signage such as Post-top Stanchion Signs, Banners, and Acrylic Sign Holders for slatwall. You can add these merchandising systems to stanchions already deployed in the field.
