Railing Components

Lavi railing components fit 1-inch, 1.5-inch, 1.67-inch, and 2-inch outside-diameter round tubing. Be sure to also select tubing with an inside diameter that matches your component when selecting flush fittings and universal connectors. When selecting Lavi tubing and fittings, choose components and fittings from the same size and material/finish family to ensure a perfect fit. Solid brass and 304 stainless steel parts come in 1, 1.5, and 2-inch sizes, and 316 stainless steel parts come in 1.5, 1.67, and 2-inch sizes. Not every family comes in every size, so filter each family page by tube size before you order. Matching tubing is sold in the same diameters.

Yes, where a part needs them. Ball fittings and flanges come with their set screws, and mounting screws come with the components that require them, so you don't need to order screws separately. Lavi does not sell railing screws on their own.

Yes. Railing components and tubing are sold online with no minimum order, and they ship from San Antonio, Texas. Tubing ships crated: lengths over 4 feet carry an oversize fee, and lengths over 6 feet ship by LTL freight. See Returns and Warranty for the return policy.

Ball fittings put a decorative cast ball at each joint and lock to the tube with set screws. The tube seats inside the fitting, so only its outside diameter has to match, and they come in solid brass and 304 stainless steel. Flush fittings sleeve inside the tube and bond with railing adhesive for a smooth joint with no visible hardware, so the tube's wall has to match the fitting. They suit modern rails and are the fitting to use on 316 stainless steel projects.

The first two digits indicate the finish: 00 is polished solid brass; 40 and 44 are polished and satin 304 stainless steel; and 47 and 49 are polished and satin 316 stainless steel. The number at the end of the SKU, after the slash, is the tube size: /1 is 1-inch, /1H is 1.5-inch, /2 is 2-inch, and /424 is 1.67-inch. Search for any full part number at the top of the page.

Usually. Many projects use 304 indoors and 316 outside. Polished 304 and 316 are both buffed to a mirror finish, but satin 304 is brushed along the tube's length and satin 316 around the circumference, so their grains run in different directions. Where the two grades meet in the same view, choose polished. Within a run, keep fittings and tubing in the same grade so flush fittings match the tube wall.
