Counter-Mounted Lane Closure

Description

Closing a register lane should take one motion. The Counter-Mounted Retractable Belt Barrier attaches to the counter itself, at pass-through height, so staff can draw the 15-foot belt across to the next counter and press the velcro end onto the included loop fabric piece — then release it just as quickly when the lane reopens.

Description

Mounted between registers rather than on a wall, the unit keeps lane control at the point where staff actually stand. Drawing the belt across and pressing the velcro end to the opposing counter — or to the loop fabric piece included with the unit — closes the lane in seconds, with nothing to screw down or unlatch. The 15-foot belt retracts into a housing finished in Wrinkle Black, so the counter stays clear whenever every lane is open. The unit is built on the patented Beltrac® design (USPTO No. 2,472,720).
